1900: Hamburger box stoves

1946: Saved energy is the cheapest energy
Wilhelm Bottermann takes over the management of the company and lays the foundation for the impressive company development with a series of heating technology developments, under the aspect of: Saved energy is the cheapest energy.
1960: WIBO Energy Advisory Services
Establishment of WIBO Energy Advisory Services for free, detailed and extensive advisory of each customer on site, in his home, regarding electric radiators, under consideration of the existing conditions with the customer.
1962: Electric tiled stove
Development of the electric tiled stove, which combines the cosy heat output of the traditional tiled stove with the cleanliness and operating convenience of electric direct heating.As a continuation of the same concept, at the end of the 1960s, the electric tiled fireplace was developed, which subsequently and to this day has been constantly supplemented with new models and is the gem of many homes with its vivid flame effect and the heat-emitting fireclay tiles.
1969-1970: New factory
New construction of the factory building in Jägerlauf in Hamburg-Lokstedt
1970: Skirting board radiator
Development of the electric Webo skirting board radiator, the ideal radiator for unusual room conditions. The Bildzeitung writes: "Bottermann heats up the Germans."
1978: "Thermatic" storage surface radiator
Development of the "Thermatic" storage surface radiator (as "Biomatic in Switzerland), which is characterised by its particularly flat design and combines the benefits of the heat-storing fireclay with the functional design of modern radiator technology.
1980: Advisory service
Establishment of the advisory services for sales of radiator covers made of ceramic and exotic wood.
1988: The next generation
Elke, the daughter of Hermine and Wilhelm Bottermann, and Dr. Kay Petersen, take over the company management.
2000-2007:Expansion of product series
Expansion of the product series with a specialist radiator for bathrooms, sanitary rooms and kitchens, as well as a special hallway radiator. Development of the Millenium Plus product series, with a modern design, specifically for the homes of our younger customers. Expansion of the electric fireplace product line. Introduction of the Comfort Service programme, for long-term assurance of optimum implementation of our customers' radiators. Introduction of the comfort implementation of our customers' radiators.
2008: "Millenium Plus"
Expansion of the Millenium product series with "Millenium Plus".
